Our Story

Artest Education Foundation was founded by NBA Champion and mental health advocate Metta World Peace with a simple goal: help athletes and young people build meaningful lives beyond the game.

He has carried a larger dream of a university for decades. A dedicated institution of higher learning, built from the ground up, that gives athletes and underserved students a permanent home for the education, mentorship, and community that changes the trajectory of a life.

Artest Education Foundation is how we get there. AEF is laying the foundation for Artest University, which will one day have its own campus, its own faculty, and its own graduates. A university that will serve athletes and underserved communities for generations.
